We’re San Francisco Peninsula volunteers working hard to win close races that will secure Democratic majorities in D.C. and key states. Engage in effective actions with us - you'll have great impact.
CA-13: California's 13th Congressional District. Democrat Adam Gray is the incumbent, having won the seat by just 187 votes in 2024! This seat is "Must Hold" per Swing Left
CA-22: California's 22nd Congressional District (situated in the Central Valley between Fresno and Bakersfield). The incumbent is Republican David Valadao. We can flip CA-22, per Swing Left!
We are ramping up! You can help by:
We're heading to Fresno in the Central Valley, to California's 22nd Congressional District ("CA-22"). We're going to converse with people at the doors, in support of Ground Truth strategy of "listening to" rather than "talking at" voters
We'll hear the concerns of residents across the political spectrum and use this information to turn out voters for Democrats in the midterms.
We'll canvass in Fresno the weekend of March 21st. Please join us - you can get more information and sign up here.

Join the Democratic Volunteer Center for an in-person event featuring local Congressmember Sam Liccardo. He'll update us frontline action in Washington, DC.
The DVC, based on the San Francisco Peninsula, provides space and resources to elect Democrats and pass legislation at the local, state, and national levels. The Democratic Volunteer Center is staffed by volunteers and funded through individuals' donations.

Ask a grassroots leader how you can help and you may hear about canvassing, phonebanking, letters, postcards, organizing, mobilizing, backroom, messaging, voter registration, Swing Left, Indivisble, the DNC, CADEM, rallies, protests, etc. An enthusiastic leader may flood you with information and yet you still don't how to help.
The secret? Sign up and show up. Whether it’s a training, a seminar, a letter party, or a canvass, jump in. You’ll meet people, learn lingo, pick up new skills, and discover more ways to contribute. Chat with organizers and try a few groups until you find the right fit for your passions and talents.
Two suggestions for starting out:
Ground Truth is an innovative, people-powered canvassing program that helps us win back power by reimagining how we talk with voters. Ground Truth, Swing Left's new method of engaging with Americans, combines old-fashioned conversing with the latest AI.
Ground Truth is designed to expand the number of Democrats. It's a knock-on-every-door, talk-with-anyone, listen-to-everyone strategy.

March 28 will feature the largest nonviolent protest in American history. No Kings rallies bring us together to stand up for our communities and reject Trump and MAGA's fear and violence.
Collectively, we make our voices heard and we millions of other Americans who want a future where everyone can flourish know that they are not alone.

I like the Ground Truth approach of hearing voters’ views through open-ended conversations–but wondered if it would work for phone-banking. I tried it, and was delighted to have several long conversations with voters. They were surprised I wanted to listen to them. I’ve now happily signed up for more phone-banking! – Nancy D, SLP volunteer.
